Según los críticos, el guión, está completamente equilibrado entre la aventura, el humor y la acción pura, tiene como centro un tema dramático, pero tratado con delicadeza: la adopción.
Así como esa abominable tradición Disney de condenar las relaciones entre hijo y madrastra como en "Enredados". Sin embargo, Kung Fu Panda 2, es completamente distinta.
