Una de las réplicas más fuerte del terremoto que azotó a la zona centro-sur del país se sintió pasadas las 23:20 horas en la Octava Región en la noche del 15 de marzo, específicamente en Concepción donde fue el epicentro.
El movimiento habría superado los 6,7 grados en la escala de Richter, causando conmoción entre los habitantes de la zona. El sismo se sintió también en la Séptima, Sexta y en la Región Metropolitana.
La duración del temblor habría sido de entre 30 y 60 segundos. También se sintió en desde Santiago hasta Osorno.
Según informó radio Biobío, acto seguido al movimiento telúrico se provocó un corte del suministro eléctrico en la región.
Según los primeros informes, el epicentro se habría registrado 36 kilómetros al noroeste de Concepción, en las profundidades del mar.
No se registraron ni heridos nio daños estructurales.
