Desde el 10 hasta el 10 de abril estarán abiertas las potulaciones a los 10 cupos para Becas de Excelencia Deportiva que otorgará este año la Municipalidad de Valdivia.

La beca está dirigida a estudiantes residentes en Valdivia con edades entre 12 y 17 años, quienes deben cumplir ciertos requisitos como un promedio de notas sobre 5.0, certificado de la federación deportiva a la que pertenecen, y haber destacado el último año en el medio deportivo local, nacional o internacional. El nivel socio económico no es relevante para el otorgamiento del beneficio, sino que lo que prevalece es el rendimiento y desempeño deportivo.
El año pasado postularon entre 60 personas, la mitad de ellos campeones o poseedores de uno o más títulos nacionales en sus respectivas disciplinas.
El periodo de postulación se iniciará el 10 de marzo y cerrará el 10 de abril. Las bases y fichas pueden retirarse en la oficina del Departamento de Deportes, ubicada en el segundo piso de la Municipalidad de Valdivia.
