El recinto tendrá tres camarines de 98,62 metros cuadrados en total y una capacidad para albergar a 47 deportistas, es decir dos equipos de 22 jugadores más una terna de árbitros. Contará además con servicios higiénicos, duchas y vestidores.
La propuesta pública para la realización de la obra fue abierta el 29 de noviembre, presentándose cuatro oferentes. Finalmente la adjudicación recayó en la Constructora Varinco S.A., por un monto de 41 millones 725 mil 254 pesos y será financiado con fondos municipales.
El plazo de ejecución de los trabajos es de 120 días y considera la ocupación de 56 hombres al mes. El inicio de las obras se espera para el mes de enero, una vez que sea formalizado el contrato respectivo entre el municipio y la empresa.
